More Than a Race: N’Djamena Runs for Peace

With approximately 800 local and international participants, the event brought the streets of Chad’s capital to life. The program included the elite 21.1-kilometre half marathon, a three-kilometre community race and a one-kilometre children’s race, allowing athletes of different ages and abilities to participate. Beyond the finishing times, this race matters because it provides a platform for Chadian athletes, connects local talent with international competitors, encourages young people to embrace sport and presents N’Djamena as an emerging destination for African athletics.
